How To Know When Your Are in Dead End Church

O ne woman was a member of a certain church for thirteen years. Most of her social security checks were given to this Church. Upon her death her nephews and nieces saw that most of her cancel checks was written out to a certain church. They went to the church and report her death to the pastor and asked for help in burying her. The pastor says, “No”
If you are a tithe paying member of a church for more that a year. You are not just somebody who came in to get hands out, and a crisis arises in your life like a lost of job, sickness or death in the family and they pretend like they do not know, you are in a dead end church. The church does not even need to take any money out of their treasures to help. If the pastor asks the members to give up $20 each from between one hundred and fifty members. This could net you $3000. In 2008 I had two deaths in my family, four months apart. I saw it coming some ten years ago,
If I was a man of no means, I would be in some serious trouble. You cannot just join any group because there are some smiling faces to greet you. There must be some love and humana feelings running in the background. If there is favoritism, and prejudice running in the background, you are stuck up in “dead ended church” You need to move out and go seek comrades in distant places.
I took a church with fifty members of which only about fifteen were working. From the fifteen I was able to feed the none working members of the church. Every week I help one to find a job. Some of them I provide job training. Pastoral work is not only to preach. Pastoral work is not only to collect money. Sometime you have to give.
Jas 2:14 My brothers, what profit is it if a man says he has faith and does not have works? Can faith save him? Jas 2:15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, Jas 2:16 and if one of you says to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled, but you do not give them those things which are needful to the body, what good is it?
“THE GREAT RED FLAGS”
If the church has no assistant pastor, no woman pastor and no youth pastor. This mean that the senior pastor does not tolerate under dog. He is scared of emerging pastor. If the pictures of resigning pastors upon the wall has no black pastors in that church’s history. This indicate that the church has a racist root, and maybe still have a racist spirit reigning in there. If the deacons have no preaching privilege, if the pastor fell sick there will be no body to preach. The whole church will just sing a few songs and went home. Look at this trend in scripture. Moses have Joshua and Caleb in training, to take over after he is gone. The apostle Paul has Timothy and Titus. Not only these, but right down through the history of the Christian churches. Failure to see these red flags will cause you and I to invest years of visitations and membership in an organization that is a sinking ship. One thing for sure, a dead end church cannot grow in membership. In time it eventually crumble like a water balloon. Love is what keep people together. Brotherhood is what keep people together.
